I can't remember for sure but it was the smallest size on my set and believe it may have been .050 size. on my conversion I had to back the main sdjustment screw out some to tighten the action and forearm, do ya'll find this to be the same with your guns?

Just an update with the many suggestions of the use of wool wads and these break action CVA SCOUT, I obtain some from KYLE at Pittman Bullets,, arrived back at the range not only with the ML that I had problems with but with another one also. The new one after Zeroing I could tell this one was also going to be a scattergun just as the previous one, loaded them both 65 grains 4198, wool wad one with Fury the other with Pittman 275 grainers, First gun mention two in the same hole third shot 3/8 inch away, two more shots after adjusting scope for impact same hole, the newer CVA 3 shots 3/4 inch group all at 100 yards! thanks to all with the concern and advisement. THANKS!!!!!!! Is #RMC4400 (.44-.45 45/70) what you ordered? 🤔 Just reviewed the thread and saw this, they all are The (CVA SCOUT 45/70) converted to the 45 cal muzzleloader

I get 2670 out of my Brux 27in Encore barrel with stiff bullet fit. 65gr I4198 275gr Accumax and a two hand push down the bore. NOt so tight that its a problem but stiff. Ive shot several sub MOA groups with this set up.
