You might try some 4831 powder with the 327 and see how they shoot. What kind of load would you suggest?? Minimum maximum start point I used 115 grs. Of H4831 with a 335 gr MH and got a group that was under a inch at 300 but it was only two shots( last two bullets I had). I think this is a middle of the powder load range. This load was safe in my gun,use at your own risk.

Now that is the kind of performance and accuracy I came here looking for. Can someone explain this muzzleloader to me and how it is made. And where do you get one of thes guns made? Could the person who built it maybe help explajn the details of this gun, it is the kind of preformance I would like to find. Can I get boolits for this easily? I would prefer iron sites because my hunting conditions are very bad and scopes just don't hold up two the elements I hunt in. I like heavy boolits for the thick skinned game AK presents, do these kind of boolits hold together for tough game? What would you estimate the effectisv range of a gun like this would be with iron sites? Thank you all and sorry for my lousy computer skills.

the donor gun is a Rem XR-100 with a #8 Brux 20 twist and I dont remember the barrel length, 26"? or 28? Jeff Hankins did the work, If I recall correctly it was teflon coated and wears a Jewell trigger. the stock is a pillared factory shortened with a good pad added.
A 327 match hunter or 290 Barnes TMZ would fit your needs nicely, it would also work well with Blackhorn 209 in Ak. you could expect very good accuracy as well..
with a good Globe sight on front and a good peep on back 300 yds would be doable with practice.
