Hey guys..,, this is my dog. "Lapua". He is the reason I rush home from work every night.. He is a full blooded pitbull and is the smartest dog I've ever had.. I think I could teach him to do just about anything.. I love this little guy.... Here he is,, just asking me to add the water.. This guy loves the water.. And here he is watching the Super Bowl with me.. He thinks he's a person and must be right next to me (if not on top of me) all the time..

no doubt- I have 2 pets one is a thoroughbred stud rescued from an animal shelter named "Coltrane" a catahoula leppardhound- they were severely bred to hunt/ kill hogs in the swamps of louisana & such. he can run approx. 50mph & are very territorial rating on a 10 scale of 10. he probably was mistreated(prior) & we took a roll out of the house one time after he lashed at me resulting me in pinning him/tap-out! lol..very loyal/smart & we have mutual respect & if you don't belong here on the property he will take off a chunk of your rear=aka-adt protection live/24hr/7/365.
family pic off wall /left side
now here is little miss bashful-"Hadley" very brilliant pet & was in the truck last time I visited hankins custom rifles/would not let her out-did not want to lose her to Kentucky after meeting 'lapua" lol
Hadley learns everything within seconds no kidding- a few yrs back I taught her to howl like a coyote after just a 1 min session/impossible I thought/within minutes she yote called back & still does to this day along with many other tricks. she /both are camera shy! she is a family soulmate

That is a wood stove.. I built it about 25 years ago and it's burned a fire ever since.. That's all the heat I have in my shop and it can be 20 outside and 15 minutes after I start the fire you will be working in your tee shirt..

Looks like that right paw is about ready to put some unwanted pressure on the groin area. LOL. Love my dog. All dogs are good and the outcome is directly related to the ownership of the dog. Treat them like family and they have your back to the death. Treat them like crap and they become a dangerous animal. Pitbull, Shepard, Pug, Collie....don't matter. They are all great in terms of loyalty. Looks like you have a happy loyal dog. The only bad thing is that they never live long enough.
Love the dogs

Beans.. You are correct about them not living long enough. I can't remember a time when I didn't have a dog.. Some lived a long time some didn't get so lucky. I have never had a dog like Lapua. I don't know if I will ever be able to replace him. I have four pit bulls, never come in my house un announced or the gun shop for that matter, but if I invite you in they will love you till you leave... This is a picture of the four dogs patiently waiting for some scrapes from the dinner table. Roxie is the brindle color, Lapua is head up waiting on something to hit the floor, Sherpa is sitting and Rogue is next to mommy.... Each one of these has a special place.. This is Lapua snuggled up on the couch,,, It's the night before opening day of gun season and he is thinking.... "boy I'm gonna eat good tomorrow. And lastly we have three of them in the pool.. Sherpa is laying down in the water. Rouge is jumping out to try and catch Lapua... These two dogs can run so fast it unbelievable..

A guy can get quite attached to a good dog. They like us no matter what our mood.

Abbey was our little girl (Cavalier King Charles Spaniels). She died two years ago at age 6 from congestive heart failure (common with the breed. My wife and I still have not gotten over her. The male is Spencer. He died (we had him put to sleep) about this time last summer. He was 10 but suffering from the same congestive heart failure. He remains in our hearts like Abbey. About three years ago the Tri-color Cavalier wandered into our neighborhood. We believe she had been used as a breeder and was tossed out. She had/has many "issues" both mental and physical. Took her to the vet to check for a "chip" - Neg. So, we got here fixed up as well as possible and she (Lexi) has been with us since (also has congestive heart problems). When Abbey died (her friend) she hooked up with Spencer. Then Spencer went to the "Rainbow Highway" and she really went into a Funk! So, we visited an animal shelter after viewing photo's on line and came up with "Carley" a "Heinz 57" variety. A real sweatheart, smart as a whip and Lexi has now bonded with her and life is good. Jeff: That is a neat looking Pit Bull. They have many Pit Bulls and Pit mixes over here. Many are hunting dogs. They run in a pack and are the ones that hold onto the pigs. They usually sport thick wide collars to protect their necks from the tusks.
Richard: That "Carly" looks like a character who can handle life's problems. Sometimes those mix dogs (of which all four of mine are mixed) are the healthiest and finest of pets.

GMB: That is some cool big cat. Is it a wild hybrid? Yes its a hybrid called a Bengal. Mine is part Egyptian Mau and part Asian Leopard Cat. He acts more like a dog than a cat. Follows me everywhere and even likes playing in water.
