nobody: Unsure if the 45 meant age or caliber. Understand if it is age and eyes, unsure what it means if caliber. Sorry ,it was caliber the pacnor doesn't have rifle sights.

Prior to my smz purchase this year, shots were always inside 150. I always tend to setup based on the capability of the weapon being used. This year I hunted with nothing but my smz and killed 5. All 5 were long range 200 or better (max 375). The longer shots were out of elevated shooting boxes with sand bags and no wind. I don't claim to be a great shot and if I can't get steady and feel good that my bullet will find the mark I won't take the shot (passed on many due to wind). My point is that these smz have really opened up my opportunities on power lines. If I can do it at that range, anybody can with proper preparation. Very important to practice long range if you plan to shoot long range, as experience is the best teacher. The BC's provided by bullet makers are very generous in my experience. For example, the bullet I shoot list high .3's but I have found .265 based on my rifle at 500 yards.

Most of my shots have been between 50 & 100y,longest was about 250 which may never be tried again. With almost 30 years shooting them that has been the only opportunity that felt right about shooting that far thanks to savage . I prefer as close as possible without a chance of alerting them. last season all were killed with my 50cal 2=100y or so and 1= 60y.I also carried it most of gun season.I love the challenge of using a front stuffer even if its smokeless.

I voted 25 to 75 but it's really at 5 to 75. I get a bunch at bow type range as I hunt thick cover and usually am not choosy, ie: pretty much a degenerate meat hunter. 10
