In the mail came some 325 accumaxes. Some I4198 and I3031, both shot just over 1/2 inch. I am not sure on which load to try and improve on. I am going to go broke trying to shoot a consistent one hole groups, but I love shooting.

I went back to the range with 94 gr of 3031 and 72 gr of 4198 with the 325.The two different loads are hitting the same know. The 4198 load I bet was my fault. That load will be shot again this week with wool wads.

Look, excellent shooting Lyman................but why do you think the 4198 was your fault? Did you knowingly do something to make that bullet go slightly (and I mean slightly) out from the other two? I hope you realize that you are shooting a muzzle loader with considerable recoil and it is not match CF rifle? These things occur? Whether you, the bullet, the load, the weather...........that .8" group was nothing to sneeze at. Stuff like that happens, even with high quality CF match rifles and top shooters pulling the triggers. Its called "shooting" and you are doing excellent! Until we have laser guns that are triggered electronically and not affected by human error or weather, you will not get that hoped for bug hole every time.

The 325 should be more accurate, larger bearing surface to engage rifling.
