Still working on the sizing for sabot less. These groups are from a gun 1shot1kill built for me. RemPac 45, 25" Pac barrel, RB style breech plug. Load is 10/45 of 4759/4198, 275BE and .060 veggie wad. 2390 fps. First try went 1.4, tighten up groups went to 2". Loosen to one hand light push down barrel and got a .505 group. You can see where the third shot just got the lower left edge where the second shot had torn the target. Also shot a 1.4" group with the 250 SST. Both groups at 100 yards. Think I have found the setting for the 275BE, might loosen up the 250SST a little to chase a smaller group. Best part about sabot less is load and shot without waiting between shots.

I never thought shooting sabot less with bullets this loose would work. If I can find some Clays or RedDot I am going to try that. Still not much luck with the Barnes loose or tight, I think/hope the Clays/RedDot will help with that.

The Clays or RD should help..........it definitely did for me. BTW, for future posting of your targets?.............You might try taking your felt tip pen and going around the outline of the bullet holes.........it makes they really stand out! Good shooting and you will get it figured out!

153................Hard to say? Tightwad is really fast, much faster than Red Dot which in turn is slightly faster than Clays! Green Dot is just a little slower than Clays but probably night by much. IF I had both powders, I would just shoot loads side by side and see? With the Tightwad, I would stay just a little more conservative. Where I generally will shoot 10/60 of Clays/H-4198? I would go 8/60 TW/H-4198. With the GD? I would shoot side by side 10/60 of both (this being with a 300 gr. say........XTP or SST or for th at matter, any of the 300 gr. .452 bullets we regularly shoot. You could also test with lighter bullets like the 250 or 275's. No end to testing That is what makes these ML'ers so interesting. Just use common sense. Burn rate charts will "help" (put you in the ballpark) in determining compatibility. I would probably stay away from ball powders in my booster charge as they might migrate into the vent hole. Most flake or stick powders are big enough that, that will not happen. A magnifying glass and your caliper will give you a good idea of the particle size.
