Ingredients Needed 2.5 pounds of back strap meat. (Cut into 2x2 chunks 6 potatoes 1 big onion 1 bunch celery 3-4 carrots 1 stick butter Salt and Pepper to taste.. Marinade mix. 1/2 table spoon liquid smoke 1 table spoon Lawry's seasoning salt. 1/2 cup whoostershire sauce 1/2 cup soy sauce Mix in a bowl,, the Marinade ingredients. Add the meat and let set in refrigerator over night. The next afternoon remove the meat and drain.. Slice the stick of butter in 1/4 inch thick pieces and place them on the bottom of a 9x11 glass pan. Or whatever size pan you have... Now you can slice and or peal your potatoes.. Place them on top of the meat. Next cut up your celery and carrots, put them in the pan,. now slice the onions and spread them on top.. Add your salt and pepper to your liking and cover with aluminum foil.. Bake in the oven at 300 degrees for 3 hours.. It will melt in your mouth... The picture is before I put it in the oven.. It didn't stay around long enough to get an after picture.. Also I made two pans so you would want to double the ingredients if you want to make that much.. Jeff

Those treats are for my dogs.. They get rewarded when they do good and go into the BOX when they do bad.. I must say they don't spend much time in the BOX.

You may be too young to remember Quick Draw McGraw with the cartoon character Snuffles the "anthropomorphic" cartoon dog used to "ferret out bad guys" when bribed with a dog biscuit.

I remember those old cartoons,, only thing is, when I was growing up we only got 4 channels on the tv and if I remember correctly cartoons were only on Saturday mornings and that's the day I had to either work in the tobacco patch or I'd sneak over to the neighbors pond and catch big bass all day... Man that pond was a blast, to bad it's a dried up mess of cattails now..... But that was over 35 years ago... Where has the time gone...

Well to get back on topic (before I'm put on disciplinary leave and cast down with the sodomites) let me say that's a delicious looking dish, well presented too.

Rambler..
You're on Hank's message board, You don't have to worry about staying on topic.. Topics start as one thing and lead into another thing.. That not only makes things interesting but it also creates conversation that otherwise would never take place... As humans we like to talk.., most of the time that's a good thing..
