I have no idea why I need another smokeless conversion other than just wanting one. I do want another 45 caliber.
Can you share your experience? Stock selection plus other options, bedding, muzzlebrake etc.
If you had to do it over again would you have done anything different.
i have already had Jeff convert a 45-70 Bullberry 1:22 SS Pacnor for me and couldn't be happier.
Thanks in advance for your response.

Jeff has my ultimate firearms BP Xpress now... To be converted..... 45 cal Brux 26" with brake... HIS ignition and Jewell trigger..... He has not had it very long so it will be a while still before I see it. The gun is already fitted with a grey/black laminate stock which will be used on this conversion

hawghunter;
In vid #2, the Rem 700 w/ the gray laminated stock was mine. I don't know what info you're specifically looking for all I can say is I couldn't be happier with the performance of the rifle and Jeff's work!! The first group I shot (4 shots) measured .355" @ 100 yds!! Jeff's rifles have a reputation of shooting 'lights out'. If you have any questions, fire away.

Thanks for the reply. Is the stock pillar bedded? Stock trigger? Do you feel that you could could benefit from a muzzle brake?

It had a stock trigger, no muzzle brake, bedded by Jeff. I can't remember if Jeff installed pillars or not. I had always planned on shooting less than 78 grs of H4198. Even though 78 gr is the petload, I didn't need 5000 ft/lbs of energy. I was shooting about 70 gr of H4198 w/ a 275 gr bullet getting 2800 fps. When I shot the .335" group I stayed w/ 70 gr. I didn't feel a muzzlebrake was necessary. Recoil was very manageable because of the weight of the rifle. If I was going to shoot 78 gr I'd have a muzzlebrake installed. The funny thing about the Hankins smokeless muzzleloaders is that they're accurate with many different loads. I tried from 60 to 70 grs and all shot well. It comes down to how much power do you want or need. It was a kick-a55 rifle!!
