First try sabot less. All loads were 10/50 4759/H4198 with veggie wad. All were three shot groups.Got to work on my sizing. All were very light one hand loading. Temp was 25-32 when shooting with no wind. Did not have chony as I was short on time. These were shot in two different SMLs, one that Luke had built and one that OneShot built for me. I also shot the 250 TEZ but they were all too small and just feel down the barrel and groups were four plus inches. The 250 XTP shot the best at 1.1", next the 250MZ at 1.2 and the 275BE two different groups from both guns both going 1.4". Like I start first try and need to work on my sizing. The top picture is from the ONEShot build, the bottom is from the gun Luke built. Both guns RemPac with 25" Sendero barrels.

Looks like a good start. You may want to bump up your load a little and see what happens. The TEZ's liked a tight fit in my break open and a more aggressive booster. Also for the money the 275be's are a good choice, IMO.

Thanks for the advice Rambler. I may up the booster to 12-14. Don't want to get too much as my shoulder already has a plate and nine screws. Yeah all seamed too loose. I was very surprised by the MZ shooting that well as they were almost as loose as the TEZs. MZs must be a little softer. Overall I was still very pleased. I would guess my speed was somewhere around 2400-2500. For hunting these groups would work but we SMLers are forever trying to better smaller groups. I think back to my first ML years and if we could get a 2.5-3" group we were happy.

That load with a 275 grain bullet I was getting right at 2500 fps. I just upped mine to 10/54 with a 275 bullet and got 2667 fps. That load is really snappy with my rempac sendaro. 275 accumaxs shoot the best out of mine. i gave up on the 250 barnes, they size different from copper jacket bullets.

Buckstuds I tried 250MZ, 250TEZ, 250XTP and 275BE. Had to size all differently. I know the 250XTP probably will not hold up at these speeds but I was shooting them to get on paper cheaply. I really don't want to get into a hard kicking load and don't want a brake. Had a BOSS on a A-Bolt and think that is where some of my hearing is now.

I think your sizing is probably the key. Don't think you need more than 10 grains of 4759 to do the job. You could up the 4198 for a little more speed but really don't think you will need it. You may want to try the 250 FTX/SST. Good shooting on your first sabot less try!

I use the same 10/50 4759/4198 load in my Apex and it works well with most bullet choices.
