Got my new Hankins Custom Smokless 700 today. First impressions. WOW. Looks like anti aircraft ordinance. super slick bolt, crisp trigger, flawless muzzle brake, powder funnel and thread protector cap. Nicely bedded stock. Complaints: Think Hank was drunk when he fluted the barrel. Just kidding, beautiful skip fluting. put a 3-12 Leica illuminated target turret scope on it. Can't wait to shoot it..... even the the folding shooting stick and bullet swagging dies are top notch. Couldn't be happier. Attachments:

Looks like a winner! Love the flutes. I have no experience with the Leica scopes. Is it new or moved from another rifle? Look forward to your report and to how the Leica holds up to the recoil.

It is a new scope. The glass is unbelievable. If it works as good as Leica range finders, binoculars and microscopes I should be fine. If not guess I wasted 2300 bucks. Will shoot the rifle some day when it isn't 0 degrees outside.

Hello, Richard. I spend a lot of time on the archery forums but still like to see what's going on with the muzzleloaders too. Really like this site; good to see you and the other members from the other site here! Hope all is well with you.

Same back at you Sag! No "bickering" here...........much friendlier group of shooters. No "Clicks" here, everyone gets along.
