Just back from the range checking out the BOMB. First three shot group with 40 gr. 5744, lubed wad and smooth formed as are all today. Solid one inch group but low and left of POA. Second group with 65 gr. N120 and went to 5/8". Third group with 75 gr. IMR 4198 went to 3/8". Thinking that the higher charges helped with the accuracy/obturation. Lower charge weights may work better with full forming the .458's. Either way I feel comfortable with the bullets as they shoot as good as I am capable. Thanks Keith for another option. Now I need to spend some more money on Kyle's bullets.

65gr of N120 and a 300gr bullet is getting up there in peak pressure. It should be higher than your 4198 load.

68 gr. n120 and 310 APB runs 52K so I believe 65 and 302 is OK. 700 rem. centerfire conversion. I also normally shoot 75 gr. IMR 4198 and 275 or 300 BE. Seems safe in my gun.

That's awesome shooting, Gar! Thanks for the feedback. I seem to get best precision with 75gn H4198 when smooth forming them; nice to see we landed in approximately the same spot. I get better precision with 5gn less when FF when using the 302gn BOMB.
