Says we can talk about “anything” on Kyle’s Front Porch and here we go. So, it’s the morning of the Spring shoot and I’m on the Interstate headed to the Challenge…….when all of a sudden I realize that I didn’t throw any powder charges or size any bullets…….nor did I even put any in my truck with the rest of my gear. I pull over on the side of the Interstate and try to think up the most “viable” excuse to tell Jeff and the rest of the guys as to why I didn’t show up to the shoot as planned/promised………and then I woke up. 🤷♂️

You can always ask everyone at the shoot to buy some bullets you need to shoot in the match. It worked for me when I ran out of bullets during the match.

Dennis, I’ll keep those in mind in case something CRAZY like that actually happens. It was sooooooo weird! 😳
Mark, I’m betting that there would be some extra 325’s floating around the match…..but I’d get laughed right outta there when I asked to “borrow” some H4895!!! 😂🤣

Mark, I’m betting that there would be some extra 325’s floating around the match…..but I’d get laughed right outta there when I asked to “borrow” some H4895!!! 😂🤣 Believe it or not but nobody had 325’s. All I could find was 300 grain bullets. |

I've brought 124 Pitman Aeromax 328 HC bullets to the last two shoots and nobody needed them. haha So I'm set to help the next person who actually does more than dream about forgetting their bullets. Not sure what a dream like that means, but it certainly could be worse.

Hmmm...
This kind of reminds me of a thread that happened a ways back. A former member of this board went hunting deer with a couple rounds, and wound up having to get back to his vehicle to retrieve a few more cartridges. Unfortunately, the deer in question was still alive while he retrieved more ammunition to finish the job. Targets are a different deal, but always carry enough loads to do what you have to do. 2 is 1, and 1 is none...
Just a nightmare, but if you keep your head on straight, should be avoidable. Don't assume anything. This world has always been CYA (Cover Your A**) with smokeless muzzleloaders.
I would suspect anyone with much time in this game would be more prepared then the scenario you described. Your subconscience can be a monster...

I booked a hog hunt and forgot to bring my muzzleloader. haha, that's a tough one to overcome, my brain is mushy in my old age so I make lists, double and triple check making sure every item makes it into my vehicle, even doing this I forgot a cooler with food and drinks, made it into the garage, but not into my truck haha |
