New to this, not to reloading but would love to know what info people have on max charge of imr 4227 and 4198 is in this break action gun with hanks module 45-70. I don’t have the direct injection one. I’m shooting 275-300 grain bullets got 275 Pittman bullets and 300 grain hornady both fit well and slightly snug size to .451 thanks for info!

53-54gr with 275 and I am shooting 51.4gr with 300 bullets in a 25" bbl blue/blk Scout.

4227 is all I use in my Scout.

I posted my loads for my Scout. I don't exceed those charges as that is where my rifle shot best and much more would be pushing the pressure limit for the barrel profile
