shoulder fired Land cannons! simply put, Land cannons!
I have had similar results with the same load and bullet. these guns are WAAAAY over kill for deer but they are addictive to shoot, something to be said for stuffing a bullet down the barrel and getting match grade accuracy.

Good looking rig and a proven deer killer. That is a good load combo you are using also.

In the first deer picture you can see there is no hair in about a 3-4" section by the exit hole. Has anyone else seen this? I assume it is caused by the large amounts of energy these guns produce but I don't know.

congrats on the double,I shot a buck years ago with a 30/06 at 100y or so that was chasing a doe. It was moving faster than I thought and dead centered the rear ham,bald as a pool ball for about 5-6" where it hit the bunched up working muscles. That's the only time I have personally seen it
