Did a little shooting at 500 and 700 yards last weekend. The load was 105 grains of H4895 with a .45 325 Pittman Aeromax from a 27” #17 Brux 1:18. Velocity average ~3075. Temperature was in the mid 90’s, light and variable wind. Needed a little more on the 500 hold, but the 700 dial is pretty spot on and under 3” for the 3 shots. Maybe a click right, and we’re ready to play. I think it’s gonna be a keeper. Attachments:

Nice shooting! Is there a particular goal for your distance to take an animal? Some guys like stretching it out there and they put the practice in to do it. Looks like you're successfully doing that! I didn't know if it was hunting purposes or just testing the capabilities of your equipment. Either one is fun and rewarding.

I do like long range hunting, and I’ve taken deer at over 1000 yards with centerfire. Under the right conditions, I might take a long poke at a deer or hog. This rig is definitely more capable than I am. Man, it sure is fun.

Good shooting! Just keep in mind that when hunting at long distances the wind is what bites you with these big bullets.
I would practice under different wind conditions to get a feel for it. It’s doable but much practice is in order.
