A few years back we reached our storage limit and it seems as if we have done it again. I am going to as all builders on this board, that use this board as a source to find work for their business to donate $50.00 so we can increase the storage limit of the board. Any other members that benifit from the board and want to donate a few dollars, it would be more than appreciated. I will also create a "Builders Page" and add each paid builder to that page. I will increase the storage limit so that we can continue to post pictures here. Please send your donation too: Jeff Hankins 4875 Lemon Northcutt Rd. Dry Ridge, Ky. 41035 Thanks for your cooperation in advance. Jeff.

Is there a way to contribute money to this electronically, like by sending a electronic money transfer to your email address? Would be a lot easier for some folks (like myself; I know my Canuck-bucks don’t go as far as the greenback does, but will still help how I can :-) )

How much money is actually needed to get the amount of space needed to allow a decent amount of pictures?

Question:
When using a photo hosting site in which to post a photo here, is said photo saved here taking up storage space?

How much money is actually needed to get the amount of space needed to allow a decent amount of pictures? To increase the storage space to 800MB is a monthly cost of $6.00. Our current usage is at 730 MB. I purchased the 800 MB plan so hopefully this will give us some time before we reach our maximum storage space again. This is charged to my CC every month. I will also be deleting some old post that are taking up a lot of room on the board. I have also been purchasing an add free board. This cost is $16.00 a month, charged monthly to my CC. This is for 100,000 impressions, meaning that, For every click on a new page is considered an impression. If you click back and forth on two threads 10 times then that is 10 impressions, even though you only looked at 2 threads. 100,000 impressions can go by pretty fast. Anyone can contribute to the add free board by clicking the link at the bottom of the message board. In September of 2020 We reached our limit and I raised $290.00. I then upgraded our space to 500MB and purchased the add free board. The 500MB storage was $3.00 a month and the add free was $16.00 a month for the last 36 months has cost me $684.00. Now I am not trying to, nor am I wanting to get rich off this board. I am only asking some of the guys that benifit from this board to chip in a little bit to help offset the cost on my end.

Question: When using a photo hosting site in which to post a photo here, is said photo saved here taking up storage space? From what I can understand, Everything we post here takes up some kind of storage space. Every page, post, picture, has some kind of storage space requirement. When creating these boaeds, they are free, like a hit of crack, your first hit is free, you want more you have to pay for it, Probards is operating the same way, thay get you going for free, then start hitting you up for a few dollars here and a few dollars there, if every board they sponsor gives them $20.00 a month, then they can make some money. I have no problem with them making money, it cost them money to maintain servers and pay employees, so it's only right to chip in to there business to keep it going.

It certainly is true nothing in life is free. I wonder if you could incorporate (on your gun parts site) a round up program? I've seen others set up such a thing. Every time I purchase from Midway USA I click the roundup button. Earmark the funds for the education and development of the smokeless muzzleloading sport. I certainly would round up my order. Last I bought from Midway their Roundup had raised over 20 million dollars. Should "Hank's Roundup" funds balloon into way more than needed to support the board throw the excess at putting on the Kentucky Challenge or the other educational events you guys organize. That all costs money too. I realize Midway's sales are a little larger than your shop, but hey gotta start somewhere right? There might even be a certain bullet maker that would be interested in adding a roundup program to his business as well? Just a thought I've been thinking about to benefit all of us.

I want to thank Jeff for creating this Muzzleloading Forum that is second to none with such a wealth of information and having knowledgeable members that are willing to share and help others achieve their goals in this sport. I believe the value he has created for us is worthy of our support. I encourage others to help in any way you can to give back as I just have done through Tiffany.

I know many here do make many profitable connections by having this board. And that is awesome. If I understand, $6 a month sounds like chicken scratch to bump up the storage and the profiteers should be jumping at the chance to keep that functionality up. Heck, $50 a month sounds cheap if you are getting business from this board. What does a classified add in the paper cost every week? And you can't even target your customers in a focused environment. As a casual member who enjoys the general content here, as well as many other casual participants, I find having to pay for seeing pictures is not what I would want to do personally.
This is a great board for me to be on and visit almost daily but if the pictures were gone, I would still be OK.

I just wanted to put it out there that this board does not operate completely free and ask those that profit from it to chip in a little. For those that can or want to chip in it is greatly appreciated. For those that can't/don't want to, that is ok too, You are still welcome to explore the board as often as you want. I know you can't give money to every cause or you would be handing out cash every day.

That is a good idea, however I don't think my website has the capabilities to do a "ROUND UP" feature, however I can add a "SUPPORT THE MESSAGE BOARD" with a $1.00 donation for those that want to do that.
