I just found some IMR 4759 in both 1# and 8# sizes. I want to try the duplex load of 4759/4198 @ 10/50 in my Apex with the 195 Barnes/Smooth Blue combo to see how it will shoot.I bought a 1# jug and it was marked SPECIAL $25.00.I asked the guy why is it on special and he said that it has been DISCONTINUED along with 4756.....Just want to pass this info along for those who might not know this about the 4759 if indeed this is true.... @ 10 grains per shot, this will last me 700 shots if it works out.

Where did you find this if you don't mind. It is discontinued. I use that in my 500 whisper and I am down to 3#. I'd love to get my mits on that 8# jug.

You would be surprised how much of that powder is still around............you just have to poke your face in any gun or pawn shop that sells supplies........you never know when you hit a "honey Hole!" We hit a Sh-t load of N-130 a couple of years ago on the very top shelf of a LGS and the owner had it priced from back in 1996 and sold it to Herman Bill and myself. Like $34.95 for the Two pound jugs? Heck one pound at the time was selling for more than that. Net work when your at the range.......you may come up with some? I have powder on my shelf that I would sell in a heart beat of some one needed it.......since I no longer have a use for it. I just got rid of 2,000 Fed. Lg. Rifle Match primers I am not using. You never know!
