I have never used a wad but would like to try so what is the easiest way to load them so they don't turn as they go down the barrel? I assume you load, powder, then wad and bullet separately so just didn't know if they had a tendency to turn? PS This will be in a Hankins Encore barrel (no brake) if it matters. Thanks

yes set the wad flat in the muzzle set the bullet on top and push it on down to the powder charge, now I use a funnel and load thru it pour the powder, put the wool wad in the hole of the funnel, set the bullet in the funnel on top of the wad, push it down with fingers then ramrod time,,,,,,,,,,,,

In my case I use a wool wad. Much easier for me then a vegy wad. It only takes a second, if not straight, I use the point of bullet to push down straight.

If your gun will shoot with out wad try to avoid using them. One less thing to buy, keep up with, load, and so on.
