A few months ago I was talking to Kyle Pittman on the phone and I said that I would love to come down and shoot with him. He told me to come on down. We made plans for a few months out, which happened to be this past weekend. My wife and I left Iowa a couple days early to do a little sight seeing. Kyle, his brother-in-law, Tim (which is a great name by the way ) and myself met up at the DeadZero range in Spencer, TN at 8:30 a.m. If you haven't shot at this range before, it is a great range. After getting checked in, we headed down to the range and got set up. Soon I was sending bullets down range out to a 1000yds. The wind was pretty tricky at times with it swirling, going from one direction and immediately turning 180 degrees. The consistency and accuracy of these rifles are unreal. I had 2 rifles that I wanted to work with and unfortunately that took up all the time that we had. I am most grateful for the time that Kyle took out of his busy schedule to work with me and the info that he freely gave out. That is something that I have noticed about this shooting discipline, people are willing to help each other out. Anyways, the time spent was too short but was definitely worth the trip. Also, a shout out to Jeff Hankins, as since I was going right through Dry Ridge, Ky, I was able to stop and pick up a few things and he had them ready for me to go when I got there. Thanks again.
