Just added .030" and .060" .462" veggie wads to my website. New products will be added frequently. I contacted Phil Gunn yesterday at Spinjag. I'm sending a bullet out to him today to get the jags started. Suggestions welcome. Thanks, Kyle

You might want to add some wool wads? I don't shoot them but some do? You questioned me last week as to what "cheaper" bullet I shoot? I mentioned the .452 Hornady FTX. Not everyone who shoots a lot can afford AccuMax bullets exclusively. I think it would be in your best interest as a businessman to carry a variety to meet everyone's need. Luke sells his APB's and Parkers along with Hornady's. I know the Sierra 300 gr. flat nose .452 is not a ballistic wonder, but it is useful in working up loads and might be another to consider along with the XTP's........depending on what is available? One thing I have noticed concerning Hornady's SST's is: The box marked FTX at the top contains a bullet with a relatively flat base whereas the box that just has SST contains a bullet with a very "radiused" or "rounded" base. I am inclined the prefer the flat base. I say this because I just got five boxes from Weidners and they are the SST's.

I'm looking into selling other bullets than my design. Barnes is on my list to contact for sure. I believe that Hankins Custom Rifles is now selling Hornady and Speer bullets. Wool wads is a good idea. More to come!!!

I would like to see a .400 accumax that weighs 180-200 for saboted shooters. A jacket that is thicker at the base and would shoot at 2800-3000 fps. Maybe even knurled from you.

How many people here own a .40? What bullet would you like to see in the future? No promises, just seeing what the market would be like. Kyle

I too would like to see something in the 200 gr. range that could be used saboted. And that is less frangible at shorter ranges than current offerings.
Such a product may well fill the niche for us short range woods guys as when I spoke with a Barnes rep recently, he stated that they are going to "try" to correct the current issues that their 195 bx is having with their next run of bullets, but said he couldn't promise that would happen.

the problem with the heavier bullets and a sabot is that the sabot does not fare well with heavier bullets, they end up drilling the sabot.
Now sabotless would be a different matter, a heavy high BC .40 would be a big hit with the .40 guys..

Kyle, You asked and here is what I would like to see in a .40 cal bullet.
Diameter .401 Base Length .475 OAL 1.150 Aluminum tip .300 exposed Bonded .025 jacket
Given those dimensions and you will be in the 240-250gr weight. BC will be approaching .400. The bullet will be able to cross over from saboted to sabotless. And those bullet dimensions are the point where stability will begin to get iffy above 22:24 twist.
My .02$

Jumping to a smaller bullet would be a BIG jump for someone just getting started with a business. The dies to make such a bullet runs into the thousands of dollars. I am sure Kyle would like to provide such a bullet but ole' Kyle needs to get his feet wet first. Accessories and additional products are one thing but adding a different caliber bullet is another. Rome was not built in a day!

YB y b, what issues is barnes having with the 195 bx ? Savage Shooter found that the base of the current 195bx has a sharp edge to it that will cut a sabot at smokeless speeds...He had to chuck them up and file/mill a small radius to correct the problem...He is the one that informed Barnes of the problem.....

YB y b, what issues is barnes having with the 195 bx ? The info SML provided is correct. Savage Shooter discovered the problem and made them aware of it. I just called them to get the lot #'s of their prior batch so I could look for some old stock bullets that weren't affected by the problem. During that conversation is when the Rep. said that he wasn't sure if the issue will be corrected in their next run of 195's.
The prior batch of unaffected 195's that may still be floating around are lot #'s 4272 - 4571 (including those #'s). Bullets within these lots will still be good with sabots, according to the rep, if anyone is interested in trying to find some.
Hope this may be of some help.

I guess my second choice would be to see a less frangible 250 gr. bullet for sabotless use amongst us minority short range guys. However, I also realize that from a business standpoint it makes more financial sense to cater to the masses.
