Hello to everyone. I am a new member and new to smokeless muzzleloading. I just ordered a 45/70 CVA Scout V2 conversion from Jeff Hankins and I'm eager to get started. He recommended the Fury 265 grain STB bullets for this gun. I know some people on here shoot the Fury 275 grain Star Tip 2P bullets. I contacted Fury and learned both bullets are bonded for terminal performance - the 265 grain STB has a stated .250 BC and the 275 grain Star Tip has a stated .300 BC. Does anyone have any experience with the 265 grain STB as far as accuracy or performance on deer sized game?
If not either of the Fury bonded bullets how about the Pittman 278 grain AccuMax Hard Core bullets? I assume these shoot similar to the Pittman 275 grain AccuMax, but maybe hold together better at higher velocities on deer sized game? The vast majority of my shots will be inside 200 yards, but I'm hoping to have a load/bullet that I am comfortable shooting to 300 yards if needed. Thanks in advance for everyone's response!

Sorry guys I thought I had read the majority of the threads before posting this. I just went through the meat pole thread and it pretty much answers my questions above. Feel free to remove this thread if you want. I went ahead and ordered both Fury bullets and the AccuMax HC’s. I will try to report back once I get my gun set up and get some range time in. I really appreciate the info that is being offered on this message board. It is very helpful for us that are just getting started in smokeless muzzleloading.

Every Scout I've had have been deadly accurate with the Fury ST2P or Pittman Accumax.
