As far as coating? I would give moly or Danzak a try. The only negative I could think of is that the moly is too slick and would degrade obturation?.... But worth a try.

Richard, I’ve been thinking about this. With the comparatively fast powders I’ve been shooting in my ultralite (H322 and VV130), with Direct Ignition and greatly softened Hammers that are, of course, full formed, I think full obturation might be quicker than a smooth sized, traditional, jacked bullet. Maybe. ?

What does annealing bullets do for you? Absolutely nothing……no need to shoot them because I shoot Pittman Bullets. Just saying…..

I used CEB's this year in a sabot in my Scout. What grain bullet may I ask? Light seems likely for 2600fps? I used the 240 grain at 2600fps. I actually had it up to 2700fps with 10/50 duplex with same accuracy and down near 2500 too also same accuracy and poi so picked the middle which would give me a good temperature leeway. I shot 240 grain Bear Creeks and 250 Grain Maker Rex and Trex bullet to bore with a poly wad and 65 grains of I4198 and all three were right around 2600fps as well.
