First off, I’m new to the board so thanks for having me! I’m not new to muzzleloading, I have taken several with inlines (CVA Optima, 290 TMZ, 84 gbw Bh209) and also taken a doe with a 45 cal traditional muzzleloader and round ball.
I want to get into the world of smokeless muzzleloaders. I’ve watched a couple of Jeff’s videos and am looking at getting a Scout in 45-70 and having him convert it.
My main question is what kind of velocity are you guys getting with this set up? I would likely shoot a 250-300 gr pill. I’m not looking for crazy long distance but would like to be 100% confident at 350 yards. Just curious what your loads chrono at, also what you see for drop at longer distances in regards to your respective zero.
Thanks in advance, and I’m looking forward to learning from all of you.

My Scouts with HS ignition 2400 - 2500 fps with a 275 gr bullet 60gr of 4198. I played around with 62gr of 4198 and didn't see any real advantage over 60gr just more recoil. DI ignition is a little faster. I'm not a scope dialer so I can't tell you the exact bullet drop . I use BDC reticles and I know what lines I need to use for distances out to 350 yards.

Depending on load and bullet? 24-2600
350 yds is on the outer edge for the scout, yes it's doable but will take a good bit of range time and a really good rest when the shot opportunity comes along.

I shoot a 275 Parker bullet and 60grn of 4198, very accurate out to 250, haven’t really messed with it past that but you will see about 10 inches of drop on your BBD reticle from the 1st reticle to the 2nd at that distance

I'm with Hillbill. 350 is a long poke with the scout. I der ideal conditions with the right rest/support, it's possible. With our heavier bolt guns, very doable.

I shoot 325’s at 2700fps. Steps should be taken to mitigate recoil. CVA blued composite Hunter.

With a 275gr AccuMax at around 2500fps which is a good average speed that most CVA Scouts would be shoot’n you’re looking around 15-16” of drop at 300yds.

CVA 44 cal Hunter blued 25" barrel. Conversion by Hankins, Direct Ignition (which I highly recommend). 315 cast paper patch bullet at 2503 fps (chrono average). Thats over 4300 ft lbs of energy at the muzzle, with a MPBR or overall trajectory of under 4.0 inches at 200 yards and 2500 ft lbs at that distance. All my deer hunting is close range so 200 yards is more than I will ever use. The CVA Hunter or Scout makes for a great knock around the woods hunting rifle. Mine is accurate, reliable, and an inexpensive way to get involved in SML's. I would not part with mine for love nor money.
