I have a couple questions for the brain trust . I’ve been using the black harvester 50 cal sabots with 300 gr XTPS knurled up with files . Bore fit is not as snug as I would like. So my question is this , which sabot would be the next tighter ?

This rifle shoots the old Barnes Expander MZ with supplied sabot very well. But they are tight.

Glad I have 20 packs of them left. I haven’t seen them for sale in a long time.

I’ll try anything at this point, the rifle will put 3-4 in the same hole then chunk one 2-3 inches away!

Always try to give it 5 mins between shots . Last Saturday it was 38 degrees and giving 5 mins between shots, first 3 in 3/4 inch . #4 went 3 inches high and right , #5 was between #s 2-3 . With a clean bore the sabot goes down with my thumb firmly over end of rod . Not easy by any means but not what I have experienced with the Barnes MZ. Just thought it needs to be tighter!
