Well unfortunately my season ended abruptly last week when I was hit by a car on my bicycle. Broken nose and several fractures in my face. Seeing a plastic surgeon today. I wish all my smokeless friend's good luck and a safe season !!

trekman I feel for you, precisely the reason I quit riding 2 years ago.
I had some close calls and decided to call it quits, before everyone started texting I averaged about 125 miles a week weather permitting, I really enjoyed riding but after some of my friends were in accidents and my own close calls my Madone is hanging in the corner of the garage. Our country is not bicycle friendly at all compared to most.
I hope you make a quick full recovery, keep us posted on your progress.

I wish all my smokeless friend's good luck and a safe season !! Man i feel for ya! In Feb i was involved in a work accident and it busted up my face pretty good! Think i have 18 screws and 2 pins /rods to rebuild me and full set top and bottom of implant teeth! Spent 12 days in ICU and 21 days total in the hospital.. wish you a fast and smooth recovery! |

Wow, sure hate to hear stuff like this. Hope you recover completely and will be after them next season. From the day we are born there are many forces attempting to end our lives, gotta be careful out there.
I'm still shook up after hearing on the radio about an experienced foundry worker, downstate here in Illinois, who slipped and fell into a crucible of molten cast iron. OSHA is all over the foundry now.
