What Firearms Coating do you guys prefer and why?
I have a couple Alumi-Hyde (Brownells) painted shotguns, A Dura-coated Rifle, Cerakote Rifle, and good Ol' Krylon shotgun! My Aluma-Hyde painted turkey gun has held up Better to abuse than anything else. Next is Duracoat, then Cerakote, then krylon. What is your opinion on most Durable Firearms Coating?

Good topic, buddy at work just did a dura coat I believe and he loves it. Been thinking about doing my rifle with it as well along with my truck rims but wonder about durability.
Watching with interest!

The only coating that I've used is BlackIce.Teflon coating.Had it on a couple smokeless rigs and it has held up very well.

I have one gun coated in Black Ice and so far I really like it but have only been through one season with it.

for me:
Black Ice (many) Alumahide (a few) Melonte (4 so far, about to send more)
black ice :holds up really well but will eventually wear through on the high wear areas, (bolt contact points etc) Alumahide :works very well for the do it yourself guy and wears pretty well. Melonite : while not a coating I am very impressed with it, nice color, almost impossible to scratch and makes parts slick. certain chemicals will discolor it however, ( froglube for one)
