Our IN gun season starts today. Gonna be toting my 20" MGM 450bm Encore off and on this weekend in the woods. I finally settled on a load that has repeated itself over and over. It's a 250gr Hdy monoflex over 33.5gr Lilgun at 2.250" oal. This is a bullet that is the twin to a Barnes 250tez. They are not loaded in cartridge form, made just for saboted mz use. The load isnt a barn burner at 2,001 fps, but will suffice for it's intended use. I got 500 blems from Midway. Flower power!  |

Looks like a mirrored image of a barnes. Best to you on the hunting. I am heading for Tenn. in the morning to hunt with a friend and my older brother.

It worked! No pics tho. Got 2 does. One about 75yds and one near 160yds. Rangefinder was picking up 50 different readings in the brush, but I ranged back to the top of the tree.
Bullets did everything they should. Put 2 holes in them, one EXPLODED the spine, and the other was lower neck shot and cut it like a razor. The only thing of note to report... the 30+ mph full value wind blew both bullets about 10" off the mark. I did shoot the gun later and confirmed it was spot on. Sometimes better to be lucky than smart! 😂
