Was loading some 270 with Nosler 130 gr ballistic tip going by Nosler load data it call for the coal to be 3.320 I seated the bullet but man there’s lots of bullet sticking out can some else verify this or has loaded these bullets Thanks for any help

Nosler tested data was for 3.320 col Max COL is 3.340 for magazine purposes. I would say you are correct. www.nosler.com/270-winchesterThat is if you shooting a 270 Winchester.

I went by Nosler load data it chambers and fits my magazine ok just not use to one sticking out that far Thanks!!!!

I looked at Hornady,Sierra and Speer. They all called for much shorter COL. Thought it might be the polymer tip but the 130 partition in Nosler’s manual is loaded to the same length. I think Nosler just likes loading long to keep the ogive closer to lands. I have no experience loading 270 so hopefully someone else will chime in.

I run my MGM Encore barrel at 3.340 OAL with 130gr BT and Accubonds. That is .010 off the lands. So I'd say your in the ballpark.
