Has anyone had Cataract Surgery and if so how did the Surgery effect your shooting using a scope? A person can to choose to be near sighted or far sighted after surgery. Going into the surgery I am near sighted. Thanks for your input!

I've had it on both eyes. I was asked if I want to see distance or close and my response was distance. I was near sighted at -7 in both eyes. Bad. The new lens were "close" but not perfect. I can easily drive with any correction. However, I do wear -1.25 contact lens and use reading glasses. No issues with shooting what so ever. Be prepared for WHITE! The color is much brighter than what you see now LOL

When shooting do you need the reading glasses?

When shooting do you need the reading glasses? Nope. The only time I use reading glasses is to read or if I'm working on something with detail.

I had to teach my self to shoot left handed till they were able to remove the catoract in my right eye which is my dominant eye.. I also have a stigmatizm and paid the extra for the implant for that … I now only have to wear one contact in my left eye .. I feel it’s helpful in shooting with a scope
