Yesterday was the the second last day to Ny late Muzzleloader season ........ so with a few inches of snow ....we sat for a few hours in am , But in ny the deer get pressured and as the season goes on they are back in beds well before day light . Not a fan of deer drives at all i dont mind a little one man bump here and there for me and my son Takin turns . I bumped this small buck to my son and it did the drop flop at 50 yrds . As i continued up the hill 2 more does and another buck went over the hill. After field dressing his deer he suggested i swing around using the wind and set up at an old coop in the woods where my Dad and Uncles used to meet for yrs in the woods .( Ive been hunting this property for over 40 yrs. ) Once set up he got on the track slowly ..... here he came be bopping down the hill at 70 yrds he turned broad side . Nice shooting. I love the late south muzzle season. The folding front legs is directly related to smokeless shooting.

Great job, any day spent in the field is a good day, especially with your son.
We all get caught up in our daily day to day lives, nice to step back and spend time with family.
Happy Holidays’ to all !!!

congrats on two freezer fillers, late season is always a good time for freezer meat. I've been wanting to take my bow and thump another doe, (killed one last Saturday) but its been monsoon central around here with high temps in the 60s- low 70s, one weird deer season weather wise for me, only a few decent cold non windy days the whole season here and in Ky. it has rained over 12 inches since wed...

Same here. First time I can hunt all year and I'm not going out in the rain. I do that enough when I don't want to.
