Has anyone ever skinned out a deer using an air compressor?

Never saw it but would imagine if you stuck some high pressure air under the skin, it would separate it? I guess we will have to wait for Rambers explanation? Well, got this on google:

Well, got this on google: I have no explanation, just an inquiring mind. I watched this video, there are other youtubes out there on this also. I heard about this yesterday from a butcher I was trying to get some beef fat from. I've got several slick heads out back that are destined for my freezer. Doesn't really look much easier than just gettin' after it right away when the animal is still warm

My wife just told me her daddy did the same thing with rabbits and squirrels only he'd cut a slit in the leg and blowin up with his mouth like a balloon. I'd have to see it.

My dad and I used a tractor bucket, a pool ball, and cable to pull hide off. When you have allot of deer to clean it's really nice not having to skin them.

I seen some body post that awhile back,I did try it a little bit,if you had not gutted it before it may work,it loosened the skin until it came to a hole or a cut then you had to poke another spot to start over. too much trouble for me

In the time it takes him to gut the deer, drag it out, load it in his truck, and perform the air skinning at home. I would have already processed mine and had it in the freezer. I haven't dragged a deer out in years. I take the meat off in the woods and pack it out. Takes me 30 minutes or less to remove the meat into a contractor grade garbage bag. No gutting necessary.
This fellow does it very similar to the way I do it except I place a garbage bag under the deer to keep leaves and dirt off the meat.

That really is a pretty slick method and keep more hair off the deer meat.

typically, we try to peel them while they are still hot. lets them cool faster, i think, and we are never any farther then 10 miles from the homestead anyhow

I don't even gut my deer in the woods let alone skin it and quarter it. Too damn many wolves around here, I refuse to feed them. Here's a link to the tool in question. I've seen them for sale at sporting shows but never have tried them. www.airskinner.com/
