Posted on MM, just thought I’d share here for those that don’t visit the board. Well I pretty much went through a lot of money to find what I should have bought from the start. I got into muzzleloading far into my hunting career, my dad or no one else in my family, used them. So, My very first muzzleloader was an Omega and I loved it so 5-6 yrs ago, I had planned to have Cole @cmc build me an Omega and then he had a fire. (Not sure if Jeff @bestill was building them at that point) but Since then I’ve went through several smokeless builds and all not quite measuring up to what I wanted. Don’t get me wrong all was great pieces of work coming from a few different builders. Just felt like each was missing something or there was something, I didn’t like. So, I finally decided to move back to an Omega build and contacted Jeff. 6months later, I finally received the rig, last week. Haven’t had a chance to make it to the range but I’m positive she’s a shooter. Jeff does outstanding work and this thing is a work of art. The attention to every detail is just amazing. Took it to a friend of mine and had him laser engrave Jeff’s logo and the caliber on the other side, with a couple euro whitetail racks. I think it turned out, pretty sharp. I‘ll post some range pics in a couple weeks when I’m able to get out...

Shane, you keep making that Omega look better and better! What charge you going to start out with? Will be using h4198 with a 275gr Accumax @ 25-2600fps. so right at upper end of pressure.

Beautiful rifle! I'm sure it will shoot as good as it looks!
I wasn't aware the omega could be modified to stand up to smokeless loads.
This is probably gonna cost me. Has anyone ever told you guys that you are a bad influence? LOL

My "Bestill" Omega is my favorite hunting rifle. Had couple 700 builds and couple ML2 rebarrels and a Encore conversion. Hands down the "Bestill" Omega my favorite. 26" Brux 45 barrel and factory black "tupperware" stock stiffened up with graphite rod in epoxy set in ramrod channel. Plenty accurate, plenty power with those 40X200grain SST in light blue sabot over 54 grains VV N120, plenty easy to carry, easy to handle. Reflects my experience. 10ga

Ive owed this target for awhile now. wife was in an accident back in April and it’s been a slow recovery and it’s hard for me to get away for any length of time. But anyway, here it is. I am definitely not the best trigger puller and it’s obvious to me that this rig will outshoot, me! Didn‘t see a need to post a 100yd target as it was a cloverleaf, as expected. The three in yellow are 1.25” @200yds, the three in red are 2.75” @300yds. I know I could do better at 300 but was fighting gusty 15mph wind From the SE (range faces South) (the blacked out area at the bottom was a couple shots from my 357 maximum)
