Hi Hank,
What would be a good baseline price for a Rem 700 .338 Federal build? 22-24" barrel in medium contour. Classic wood stock, blued barrel/metal. Looking for a quality build and looking to pushing a Barnes 160 TTSX at around 3000 fps. What ever twist is better for a light-for-caliber bullet. Whitetail gun in Western NYS where we get lots of woods and open field shots. I am kinda stuck on this round and projectile so not interested in other rounds. Would be interested in you doing the build and accurizing the gun. PM me if you do not want to comment on line.
Thanks

You could even make it a switch barrel 338 federal - smokeless muzzleloader. I am personally looking at making a switch barrel pistol.

Thanks My Tikka T3 is a 1/10 twist and loves the 160 grain with 52 grains of 2230 amd a COAL of 2.86". Its moving at 2850 fps with a 16" barrel and a 7" suppressor. 53 grains of 2230 is max load and very very compressed.
