I am going to try some sst 200 and harvester light blue sabots sometime soon. I am shooting for 2600 fps or close to it. I am looking to stay under 30,000 psi. Has anyone tried these loads. 4759/4198 10/50 62g of 4198 Both loads are right at 30,000 psi and around 2600 fps

I have not shot the 10/50 out of your barrel combo but out of a number of my SMLs the 10/50 is very accurate.

Have you pushed any bullet/sabot down your barrel to check for fit...They need to be fairly tight to get the performance that you are wanting...And you want to see how tight they are on a fouled barrel...With a Hankins ignition the straight 4198 should get you where you want to be without duplexing......

Did you ever get around to shooting this load? I'm looking for this kind of performance and have been worried about sabots surviving at these speeds.

I have shot sabot to 3100 fps. You just have watch the barrel temperatures and your bullet fit. This was with my 23" PN quite a few years back when .45's first came in vogue'. Now I stay away from sabots altogether. I try to even stay away from wads but the Barnes TEZ's just seem to need them!
