So far, so good! We killed 2 bucks and 2 does so far with the 350L. My buddy used the Winchester Deer Season xp 150gr factory shell, and I handloaded the Hornady 170gr spire point. He had exits and one straight shoulder shot. Mine was a quartering away. But I got no exit and little blood. The entrance hole is about the size of a baseball, and he only ran about 70yds. But little blood and we were in a terrible thicket. But it's only one kill, and on a big buck, so the jury is still out.

My buddy loaned out his 350L. His friend used the Win Deer Season xp 150gr. Killed 2 does at 80yds, both pass thrust with one going thru a shoulder. These are by far the best bullets we are seeing right now. Unfortunately they are not avail as component bullets.
We are trying to put a kill on the 165ftx this weekend. Those are avail to reload.
The 2 deer with the Win 180's both killed the deer instantly, but both bullets were recovered with no expansion. Not good if heart and lung type hit.
So far it's been a good little cartridge. Economical, low recoil, accurate, and obviously powerful enough to get the job done!

My 350 has taken out a half dozen deer with the 150 XPs. No complaints, all shots between 50 and 120 yards so far... A buddy is set up with the FTXs. I'm sure he'll shoot a few next week. Will let you know if there's anything interesting about the results.

Good luck.

It is nice to hear what others think of a cartridge. We Only get so few test victims every year. One good kill dose not make a good cartridge nor dose one loss of a deer make a bad cartridge. If Minnesota allows straight walled cartridges in slug zones I will get a 350 Legend. Still not the biggest fan of .355 bullets but I am sure better options will come.

Couple more deer down with the 350 and winchester 150 gr. XPs. Shot a doe last night at about 100 yards, pulled a little high, caught spine in the shoulder. Down for the count. This morning, a young man used the same gun to shoot his first deer, a button buck. Pretty much identical shot, spine and scapula hit, bullet was against the hide on the far side of the deer, impressive mushroom. The youngsters don't have any issue with recoil (it's pretty much negligible), and it seems to really do well putting deer down. When I'm not letting someone else use it, its quickly becoming my go-to deer rifle here in Ohio.

Iv killed 12-15 deer in the last couple years with the 350. Last year I used 170 grain federal non typicals this year I am trying out the bear creek 160 grain solid copper. I can say once the bear creeks are gone I will be going back to the non typicals . All deer with non typicals last year had excellent blood trail and short recovery, I cannot say the same about bear creek 160’s. Pencil hole in and pencil hole out on all behind the shoulder shots . I shot a 10 point in November and never had a drop of blood for 50 yards . Once I found blood it was constant but just enough to follow . This was a behind the shoulder double lung shot . I found the buck but he did run over 200 yards thru a thicket . I will use them as they do work I just prefer the nontypicals

We're through both Ohio gun seasons now, and several obvservations on the 150 gr. XPs. We found a handful of bullets in the deer we've taken so far, most of the time, it was in the neighborhood of 80 to 100 yards away on the shots. They've all exibited a good balance of expansion and weight retension (really nice mushrooms like you want to see). I would have liked to see slightly better penetration given several of the shot angles, but since we're looking at projectiles, obviously it put the deer down.
