Today is Super Tuesday and many of us will go to the polls and cast our votes for the Presidential nominee.
As I listen to all the hype and predictions from the so called experts I can’t help but wonder which direction this country will go.
No, I’m not wondering if Donald J Trump will be the nominee or even if he will win re-election in November.
I think he has secured the office for four more yrs , especially against the group of Democrats that are left in the race.
No, what I’m wondering is after 2020. The country has become so divided. If the world stands and we live to see 2024 , what kind of candidates will emerge then? It’s hard for me to digest what has gone on in the last 20 yrs in America. It’s even harder to try to imagine how far away from God and common sense we will go when Trump is no longer the President.
Sooner or later the political pendulum will swing back the other way. WHAT THEN?

I cannot say it any better than Pat Boone: cnsnews.com/commentary/pat-boone/pat-boone-learn-lincoln-and-pray-your-nationWe ARE in a civil war, mostly bloodless, but a Civil War at that. I got this in email from Pastor David Jeremiah just this morning: Elections can send us into mass panic. When competing candidates or philosophies are vying for control of a city, state, province, or nation, it creates a widespread sense of uncertainty and trepidation. But nothing should distress the believer. God controls the events of history. He makes short work of evildoers, and He tells us to fret not.

It is surely a spiritual war but we know who already has the victory.

I generally try to restrain myself from political discussions for several reasons. 1.) They ALL are going to screw you, just depends on which way... 2.) The average intellect has dropped precipitously, so its tough to imagine an intelligent ending to any election. 3.) As a country, we've passed the average life expectancy of a represenative democracy. (Which is both a commendation and a condemnation of our current situation...) 4.) The polar ends of the political spectrum have all of the media's attention, so rational media coverage is long gone (if it ever existed at all ). 5.) The "moderate middle" of politics seems to have disappeared, resulting in a non-negotiable stalemate. Nothing productive gets done, and the end result is more mindless nonsense for new bills and laws. These ultimately do nothing more than add red tape to an already convoluted mess. I don't know whats next, but quite frankly, I hope I don't have to deal with it... I imagine I will. Scary thoughts...
