Has anyone had any actual experience loading for the CVA Scout V2 in 45-70?
This would be with 250 and 300 grain bullets with H4198 powder and either Starline or Hornady Leverevolution brass. I would like to know the speeds you attained if chronoed, accruacy etc. The 250 bullets are MonoFlex, the 300s would be Barnes Originals. Thanks

300 gr Barnes original, 53gr A2015,win.LRP,Hornady brass .75 MOA at 100yrds If I do my part. Will be testing a bullet from Dennis at Fury when the weather and time allows

Jim Finally got a chance to shoot the scout with the Fury Bullets. Best load. 275gr Fury. 458 56.5gr. A2015 WLRP OAL 2.828 3 shot group just under .8 inch at 100yrds front and rear bags 9 power scope FPS. 2219,2215,2212 from lab radar. Will have to see if it will duplicate.

I was pleasantly surprised by CVA product. I bought 45-70 Hunter for ML conversion and before sending it to smith shot it few times with some factory ammo at 100 yards. 3 shot landed into 3/4" group. I can imagine what handloads will do
