Just to let y’all know got me a CVA conversion done by Hank and it is a tack driver. My 15 year old shot a 4 pointer at 201 yards and 12 ringed it. Super accurate. Normally wouldn’t shoot a 4 pointer but I wanted to see what gun would do before my upcoming iowa trip. Am shooting the 275 grain ballistic extreme with 65 grains of 4198. No recoil hardly at all with the Factory muzzle break. I have been diagnosed with melanoma cancer and have a chemo port on my left shoulder so I had to have a gun that would not kick for fear of undoing the chemo port. This gun is fantastic. I have several Remington conversions and this gun is right up there with them. Thanks jeff for the info on the CVA. P.S. just to let you know I killed a giant 8 pointer in iowa but I shot it with a Remington conversion because my cameras had it in a area that I would have had a potential 500 plus yard shot. Ended up at 158 yards so I wish I had my CVA with me, but oh well maybe next year.

Congrats! Way to get it done and get your boy involved.
Hang in there, my dad has melanoma too. The doc says they think it's a byproduct of anti rejection meds from a kidney transplant 21yrs ago. Life always seems to throw us a sucker punch. Just got to keep bobbing and weaving and think positive.

Ronnie, congrats on ya'lls bucks! I too just bought one of those cva scouts from Jeff but haven't shot it yet as I still need some things like a reloading press etc. Do you use a wad with that load? I'm thinking 65 grs. and the 275 bullet probably doesn't need one.

I did size mine though just to give it a easier fit with the ramrod. It was the number 13 mark on my sizing die. You will also love those ignition modules. There very convient.

Wow fellas never expected the prayers and good thoughts on the cancer. I really appreciate it. Hunters and shooters are the best people to be around. Lucky for me I’m a disabled veteran and everything is through the VA. Hasnt cost my me and my family a penny. I just trust in the Lord and know that he will heal me of this.

Congrats to you and your son. Love to hear father and son hunting together. Way to pass it on Dad. I bet your boy was pretty excited shooting that Buck at 201 yards. Bet you were too. Good Job to both of you.
