Has anyone tried the new Contessa light weights yet. They sure look nice. EuroOptics has them for $78 a set. Made in Italy from 7075. Dual picatinny crossbars and dual torx for securing to the base. Appear to be NATO/STANAG too but im not certain.

They look promising, like the internal grooves and the dual stops

Some of Contessa's stuff is over $200 so i imagine they make a good product. Their steel rings with level integrated are pushing $200. Closest thing i can find to these are the TPS XRT. Those are $130 and 30mm only.
Getting tired of waiting on the back ordered Vortex Pros (new style). EuroOptics has the Contessa rings in stock and ready to ship.

HillBill, do you see any problem with the grooves IN the ring that holds the scope? Im giving Cabelas until monday to ship my Vortex rings if these look like its worth trying. I think they look great for that kinda money.
My rail is picatinny on a Knight 45cal smoker but i will be shooting loads as hot as a 300gr around 2100fps+. Scope weighs in at 18oz and it looks like i have enough room for the wider rings. Just not a big fan of Weaver style rings on a true picatinny base. NATO/Stanag/1913-STD spec are a better fit IMO.

These suckers are beefy and fit my base. They set flush to the top of the base unlike the Warnes that had a gap. So they are STANAG clamping style.

They are a tiny bit tall for lows (.815") but nice solid rings.
