No, not me! I'm just shooting paper! This past May, I built a SML (Rem./Brux) .45 with Luke's plug and a Boyd's stock for a fella up in Michigan. I believe he got his donor gun from another member I built three rifles for........neither here nor there . This guy runs a charter boat on Lake Michigan for muskies. I believe he also manufactures some high quality lures and loves to deer hunt. Anyway, two days ago, he calls me on the phone and says: "Hey Richard............this is chuck, the guy you built a muzzle loader for! "Thinking oh, crap, it blew up! !" So he says........"guess what? I am here in Ohio and just shot a 160 class buck with that rifle you built me!"---"Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew! Nothing long range, about 100 yards! He was using a 300 gr. MH over 65 gr. of 4198 . I guess he was just so happy over getting such a nice deer with the gun, he had to call me right from the kill! Just love a happy customer...........right Hank! Any way, he text me some pictures the next day. image hosting sitesphoto uploaderimage hosting over 10mb

Yeah Bill, there are not many of them that will not shoot! Some are a bit more fancy than others but most builds will shoot better than the trigger puller can pull the trigger! That shot could have been easily made with a box/stock .50 Savage but old Chuck was tickled pink he bought himself a custom gun and then got a great buck with it. It tickled me he called right from the kill zone! You have to like that!

Chuck is a good friend of mine. He is one of the best Muskie charter boat captains on Lake St. Clair. Right now he is in lead for the biggest Muskie of the year, 55" long.
We hunt the same property in Ohio. He is not a one trick pony, this is the 3rd nice buck in the last 3 seasons. I was the one who introduced Chuck to smokeless muzzleloaders and passed Richards contact info on to him for a build. His Ultimate BP Express is now a safe queen.

Nice buck and good looking gun. What optic is that gun sporting? I forget the exact model but it is a Nightforce scope, 3-18x?. Chuck deals with a guy who had 2 used Nightforce scopes for sale complete with lapped rings. He had first choice, I ended up with the 5-22x-56 model.
