If anyone has trouble with lighter bullets grouping as I do, SWFA has pretty good prices on XTP's. 50 300gr XTP's for $16.95 and free shipping on $99+ orders. I just received 300 for $101.70 ordered Weds. received Fri. I would only shoot Kyles bullets if my budget would allow, I have to save those for KY.

Just xtp. I have shot quite a few of these and they shoot really well out of both my rifles. Right around 1/2" @ 100yds maybe a little under. I had run out of them and instead of spending gas money to drive to get them and pay more I just ordered and saved some $$.

For short range load testing, you can't beat them. Dynamite at 100 yards. It's the low BC that causes their accuracy to diminish as the distance gets longer.

Are they XTP Mag or just XTP? I inadvertently bought a box of the mags. I found that sizing them the same way I do the standard version and Pittman bullets didn’t work. I actually had to disassemble and use a rod and mallet to push it back out. I still have them and will revisit eventually. As far as the XTP is concerned and my ranges are a perfect fit but just like most things bigger, better is always more attractive. (Longest SML shot has been 175 yds, but I’m good well beyond that!)

I don't have access to longer than 150yds. The local public range is listed as a shotgun/pistol range. It is an unsupervised range and the state doesn't even mow it. All upkeep has been done by a few users of the range for the last 20yrs. Last year the DNR started requiring a permit to use it, only 25bucks, seems like a rip-off for something they have nothing in. The 3 benches were built by individuals who frequent the range. It is better than nothing but makes me wish I still lived back on the ridge. XTP bullets are a cheap way to have fun and develop loads.
