Just got back from a 10 trip to KY with my in-laws. While we were in Ky got to hunt 7 days. Saw numerous deer, mostly does but plenty of decent bucks. The weather was great on Saturday and then started to get worse on Monday. Heavy rain and windy conditions on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday morning. Luckily we decided to get in the stand early for the Wednesday afternoon sit. Around 3:15 a big 8 pointer chased a doe into the field, and I connected with him at 200 yards. I was not using my Hankins muzzleloader, but I did take him with my other Hankins rifle my .300 WSM. He ran about 75 yards, and made it about 15 yards into the woods. I called my wife, and we found the deer and had to drag him about 10 yards. Thankfully that is all we had to drag him, he was a very heavy deer and very good mass. Deer field dressed at 210 lbs. Got the coyote on Sunday, very small fella. It was a 291 yard shot with the Hankins .300 WSM.

that buck just showed up 2 days before I shoot him. My father in law and his neighbor didn't have any pictures of this deer until Monday. I shot him on tuesday, so I am glad he started coming around.
