We are eating like kings as usual here at the shoot. I rolled in about 3pm this afternoon and went straight to the grill where I found some very tasty bacon wrapped backstraps that Rick brought down from Jersey. The Italian sausage spaghetti dish for supper this evening was great and is becoming a tradition here at the shoot.
A lot of well aimed copper and lead went down range throughout the day. Should be some very tight groups shot tomorrow if the weather cooperates. Breakfast preparations start at 7:00. Everyone be safe in your travels.

Great food as Kyle said, the pig was put on around 8 last night and hopefully be done around noon today. Now let's see how my gun shoots at 3 and 4 hundred yards.

Lots of good shooting yesterday I will let someone else post the results as I didn't take any pictures. some are still there this morning, I'm sure Deadeye is up about now cooking breakfast. I had to cut out last evening so I left them holding the bag which I apologize for. Lots of work goes into this shoot but everyone is eager to help. Mr. Blankenship was there Thursday morning mowing the range at 7:00, when I got there about 10:30 he was half done. by noon Friday we had it all pretty much wrapped up.
A very enjoyable safe time was had by all. I want to thank Jeff and Mindy for hosting this event, Kyle for bring the store on wheels and a big thanks goes out to everyone that pitches in, brings food, helps prepare, serve, chase targets etc. It takes a crew to pull it off.
As has happened in the past a relative newcomer won overall, congrats to Rick and all the others that placed well including Ms. Jenna Pittman who shot with one arm,and rather well I might add. a new 300 yard record (.660) was set by Richard and he was among the top shooters.
God has been good to us in the last 4 years, He has kept us safe and kept the rain at bay this year, it rained all around us and yesterday it was flash flooding in Cynthiana at 5:30 and my first 20 miles down the Interstate.
This shoot has become more of a reunion than a competition, I think anyone that attends will agree.

We did have another successful shoot. Everyone left happy and with a belly full. We always have a few new comers and all is welcome, but the best part is reuniting with friends made over the years and just spending some time with them shooting and eating...socializing and just having a good time.

Amen! Another good safe shoot! Looking forward to the spring shoot............Make that LATE spring Jeff! And I am still trying to figure out how Aug. 11 is a "Fall" shoot vs. a Summer shoot?

Been looking forward to Spring 19 shoot since I left this spring. Thinking about trying to make the polar bear shoot this winter. Pretty hard to find a better group of guys to shoot with.
