My question is about amount of powder? In my Hankins custom H&R i run 56 grn 4198 with a 275 be , with the encore which i havent shot yet waitin on glass . would runnin the same 56 grn run slower and would i be wasting powder as to not enough barrel for it to burn down . I belive im thinkin along the lines of how Black powder subs wrk . hope this doesnt sound like a dumb question . by the way those 275 be slide down that begarra barrel so nice no tite spots and a perfect index all the way thru .

As far as burning all that powder... I bet you can burn 2x that much powder in 24". I shoot more powder than that in an 18" barrel smokeless bergarra. I will also agree that my bergarra barrel is very consistent with a well finished bore.
If you look online I think I have seen a calculator for this but don't remember where or even how it worked.

It is nice when you get a barrel that consistent.

24 bergerra the h&r is 29 I assume your H&R is a Buffalo classic. Aren't you worried about barrel whip with that contour and that long of a barrel?

as a hunting rifle it shoots holes touchin clover leaf at 100 opens up to barly a 1.5 " group at 200 and shoots a 3in group at 300 i dont think im concerened about any whip .....of course thats of the bench . i dont shoot it as a long range bench gun . i believe the the encore begera will be better just have to wait and see . I will add that parkers shoot the best hornadys second gold dots id be better off throwing them at the paper . I have shot some ded center sabots with 4198 and black horn out of the H&R and they shoot pretty good id say as well as the hornady . but parkers are #1
