Dave W says he tends to get lower MV with felt wads, which I used, so you may be 100% correct.

I came in from the hurricane recon last night and passed out on the couch, where my wife left me, and I work up at 5:30 this morning. I took and degreased all the bullets about to go out for testing. Here is a pic of the first 75 I cleaned this morning and boxed up:

Thanks, it's been a frustrating experience in some ways (like having dies that needed repairs) but I'm starting to get excited now that I have gotten to a point where I can ship some out to y'all for vetting.

Looks like you won't have any trouble with the marketing aspect.

Absolutely,, Ky. deer season is just a few weeks away. I will defiantly shoot a couple die with those bullets and film it.. Should I do a head shot or a chest shot? Maybe I'll do both...

Shooters choice I guess. I just need to see if they shoot decent since I have only shot three groups with them (2 x 100yds and 1 x 300yds)so I need a little broader sample. Most everyone (except the couple committed to testing these long range) testing is getting 15 of the 300gn BOMB and a fistful of the 316gn BOMB (from before the die was fixed so that they have a couple of bullets to set up their die with). That should be enough to shoot 5 x 3-shot groups so I guess a couple at 100yds, one at the furthest distance you can shoot, then a few left over to do what you want. What I would like to see is if these can be shot with the same die setting you use on your 300MH and if it will shoot the same load data but once they are in your hands they are yours to use. Just report back on what you do with them and how they perform, good OR bad. If a few bullets go through deer that would be a plus just to see how they do. I have only shot them into dirt and they get really violent when they hit a berm.

Keith the bullets look great. At some point I would like to shoot them in my 1:22 McGowen with BH209. That would be the 300 grain variety...

I'm hoping they shoot for guys testing since it is the most requested weight. If it does I will have them ready in early December since I'm about to be gone for a month. I just ordered another 1000 jackets and 50lbs of lead last night.

Nice looking bullets Keith. Can you produce some at a consistent .453 ? I can do .458" raw out of the swage die, or run them through my other sizers: fixed .454", fixed .452".

Good looking bullets, can't wait to get some to try out. I'd be able to shoot some out as far as you would like. I have a range about an hour away that goes out to 1000 yds.

I almost drove up there for a match this year since one of my guys is from Chilicothe and was headed home for a long weekend but getting away had been hard so I've just shot matches in NC. If you want to test the 340gn shoot me your address in a PM along with bullet diameter. What twist is your gun?
