So my buddy at work needed some ammo reloaded and in January, I acquired about 1000 cases of assorted 38/357 brass. He wanted some stout 158 gr 357's and some plinking 38 rounds. I gave him a list of what we needed and he went and bought all the components. Heads, primers and powder.
By early spring, I had all his cases fully prepped, sized, polished, primed, and reloaded.....all on my single stage Rockchucker. He asked me what I wanted and knowing he is a good knife maker and leather worker, I asked him to make me a knife. Well, he wasn't getting that started due to whatever reasons. He also needs .308 reloaded and he gave me a die set, and I acquired 100 TTSX Barnes 150 gr bullets which he repaid me for. Got some test round going but he hasn't tried them yet.
2 months ago he tore the S$it out of his rotator cuff splitting wood and now is going thru his .357 ammo like crazy trying to train himself to shoot left handed with his S & W 6" .357 Mag. Can't hold a rifle and must use the pistol for deer this year after his surgery. Still no knife. (He has killed several deer with this pistol)
So I get to my desk this morning and what do I find? 10 quarts of home made tomato sauce!! I have had his sauce before so I knew this was a good thing. I have enough knives! So the barter system is good! Yum!
Love reloading for myself and others and when you can work out a "deal" that makes everyone happy it's great.
