Well I believe this will be my last set of pictures I get from my Nebraska public land spots till next year. Rifle season starts this weekend and I don't trust the army headed out this weekend to leave my cameras alone. During my 3 day hunting/camping weekend I ran one camera where I hunted. Big Louie didn't show himself but I know where a bobcat calls home. Come December I'm going to see if I can get this cat. Later this year or after the first of the year I'll post a thread on what I learned worked for me along with things that didn't. Also explain what cameras work for me and those that didn't. I still have 2 cameras on my parents place for my boy so it will be fun to see what shows up for him.

Nice pictures. I see quite a few bobcats where I hunt and have killed 7 or 8 over the years. I have seen as many as 4 together at one time. I don't think the mature deer are afraid of them at all.

Switched my cameras on the family farm to get video and see who they are reacting to the swinging branch. I also switch my other camera to video over a scrape that the deer made to see how they are reacting there as well. I am having issues getting video downloaded to my phone so I used my parents computer to get this one up loaded while I work on my phone. Thought you would enjoy this video clip.

So I'm finding out that my Primos Proof 2 Cams are sensitive on how you set them. There is no sensor adjustment and they seem to be very sensitive to movement. I have to put these cameras in shaded areas and possibly hung above 10' to shoot over close vegetation that could possibly set it off. Another thing is it seems they don't care for a vine as my swinging licking branch. My other swinging branch is an old dried out oak branch. Again all I do is pee in the dirt underneath the branch. I got a total of 8 pictures of this deer in this set just showing the best ones. I got around 100 pictures off game on this camera and this time it's triggering correctly. Just need to set the camera better I guess.

I have the same issues with my Browning and Stealth cameras. If I find vegetation that will move easily with the wind, I trim it or move the camera. Cool pics of the buck.

Found out that my boy missed this deer last night. He's pretty bummed. When he got the deer to stop at 20 yards broadside he looked right at my boy. My boy aimed behind the shoulder and let her rip. Deer dropped fast enough to duck the arrow. He was pretty bummed and has hunted pretty hard. He's learning a lot this year.

I'll bet we all have had that happen. It does suck, but tell him to stay on it.

Well pulled all my cameras except one going to pull batteries and get a new lithiumns to put in them for next year. Found a new spot that ill probably run the majority of my cameras in to get a better idea of this new piece. The 3 cameras I pulled were off my parents farm that had over 1000 pictures to go thru. I was presently surprised to see this guy and hoping my dad or boy gets a chance at him. This is the only pictures I got off him and I don't believe he's come back. I think it was the rut that had him off his home turf and he's back to where he lives but who knows. Then I got a picture of my dad checking things out during his shotgun season, lol This guy came thru about an hour or so before my dad made it to his blind. It's been a fun year running cameras. Hope you have enjoyed the pictures and next year I hope to have a bigger mixed bag of pictures, antelope, mule deer, and all kinds of other critters.
