I don't think it affects accuracy although I always take mine out and set it next to me I just feel like I can reload faster that way if needed!

Depending on what keeps your ramrod in place. If it threads in or has a detent or a spring binder. On my BP Encore several years ago the POI changed with the ramrod. It had a spring binder. That is a flat spring that is in the forend and pushes from there against the ramrod to keep it in place. Therefore putting however small of a bind on the barrel.. now I carry a rod with me drop

Jeff is using the RR that he supplies with the guns in the videos, If done properly with a heavy profile barrel it will affect POI and accuracy very little if any. It's just a matter of which one you like better, myself I prefer to carry a breakdown on my belt or in my pack but others prefer theirs on their gun, there are merits to both, just a matter of what one prefers.

No ramrod for me when practicing or hunting. Like Bill I carry the breakdown one in my pack, three of my sml's don't even have a place for a ramrod.

I do like the convenience of having an on board ramrod. Ole Black Betty has a ramrod. It is a rare day when I need a follow up shot but it does happen to everyone.
I killed a 180 pound 10 point that was watching me from 40 yards climbing a tree. When we made eye contact, he turned directly away and I shot him in the spine to save the mount. He would have lived for several hours but everything from his midsection back didn't work.
On board ramrods do hang up on limbs or brush when slung on your shoulder.
All my other guns are rodless. I carry one of the old knight screw together ramrods in my buttstock pouch along with loads and primers. It takes a minute to assemble so it isn't as fast as Jeff's collapsible. I killed a hog In Florida this year and left my collapsible in the truck. I could have killed another hog but reloading took too long with having to assemble the knight.
I carry my collapsible in my Muck boots.

I have a rangerod I keep in my case with a mop end if I want to de foul without takin too much out.... Also have a couple of Mac's rods made with bunji cords. They sure are handy. Too bad he quit making them. They collapse and go in a sheath which is to be worn on your belt. What's worse, forgetting your ramrod or your reloads? I once got out into the woods only to realize my reloads were left on the reloading table back home! Had to really concentrate on "one shot one kill"! The eight-pointer went straight down after being shot through the scapula. WHEW!

I always keep an extra Mac's rod in my truck along with primers and a few extra loads and bullets, my gun (storage compartment) always has two extra loads stored in it with bullets and primers, I find it easier in the field just to roll the gun over, open the compartment and get what I need rather than digging in a pocket or backpack.

If a second shot is needed, a barrel mount is the way to go. I practiced getting off a second shot in speed, I thought I was fast, when I thought I needed a second shot on a Moose, My guide said he could have taken a nap in the time it took for the secoud, when I looked up....no Moose dead in tall bushes

I carry a "Macs" original folder in a nylon pouch as like a neck piece, it is right next my primer tool and under my rangefinder. Keep a solid rod in the truck. OH yes, for years when I shot smokers I always tried to stay in shape for speed reloading. Not so much any more. At my best I could do a reload with PRB in 25 sec +-. Not up to CSA Army of Northern Virginia stand the line speed but OK.
And dannoboone, Luke has the collapsible loading rods.
