Did a double test today with the Brux barreled M/L and this time I used my Sig Sauer 3x15x52 Whiskey 5 scope for a test mule. Both worked really well. The Sig has a heavy triplex reticle no ideal for target shooting but great for hunting. The cross hair pretty well covered a 45 cal hole at 100yards.
I shot these three targets back to back all with 73grs of IMR 4198 and a 300gr Hornady FTX bullet sized loose. Heavy wool wander wad and Fed 209A primers. This combo flat out works in ever barrel I have used. I ruined the last group shot #2 went high I new it went I shot it or it would have been in the .300's or less not to shabby for a muzzleloader.

The jet landed today. Thanks for all your help. Well I am done testing this one. Like all the others it is capable of shooting really small groups big problem is the guy behind the gun you now how our benches are if you just put a little pressure on them when you touch the gun off it will open you group up. Got one more to build for the boy's in Iowa then that is it till next fall 1,000 yard work is piling up.

Heck of a target. Great shooting! Especially considering the reticle limitatons. When bad shots open your group to half an inch, I'd say you're on the right track! LOL

Great shooting and very nice looking gun.
I like the contrast the Sig gives to the firearm.

Do you wait between shots Elkhan? Allow the barrel to cool ?

Doug the only time I might wait to shoot is for conditions wind or mirage other than that it is just load and shoot I don't make it all day event to shoot a few groups. When shooting sabots that is a different thing but I never waited very long when I shot my 50Cal with sabots either. Hey when we shoot 1,000 yard competition we shoot 10 as fast as possible if you have a quality barrel there should be not cool down time required.
