Scat.... First, thanks for your PT's....Another question...I like the fact that you were able to get the 250 TEZ to shoot with a straight powder load of 4198...Do you attest that to the LRP module system or to the faster twist 1/14"? Thanks Zen

Thanks Zen I wish I had a firm answer but I don't. My gut says the powder in the nose of the lrmp acts as a booster and the fast twist gets the bullet spun up even though it didn't get kicked really hard like a true duplex to engage the rifling In other words, the bullet might slip a little more in the rifling without a duplex but the fast twist partially makes up for that. How repeatable it would be from barrel to barrel is another mystery

I'm a firm believer that it is the LRP and Jeffs breech plug . I couldn't get bullets to obratrate the way i wanted with Blackhorn and a 209 system . With Jeffs system , same load, bullet, wad ect... shot great . I think Jeffs system ignites the powder better allowing the bullet to fatten up and fill the rifling .I'm not saying a 209 system wont work and work great . Just letting you know my experience with the 2 ignition systems and the low pressures of Blackhorn.

I have made a plug with a nose recess that is larger and holds 10 grains of powder where the standard one holds 5 grains. I will be testing it soon. Hopefully it will go a step closer to a boosted load without a booster.
